The price range of the 2024 Volkswagen Taigun has been revised as all variants see a drop between Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 1.1 lakh
Volkswagen India has dropped the prices of its 2024 Taigun between Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 1.1 lakh as it now starts at Rs. 11 lakh and goes all the way to Rs. 18.90 lakh for the range-topping model (ex-showroom) – making it one of the attractive propositions in its segment. The Taigun is based on the heavily localised MQB A0 IN platform as the Skoda Kushaq.
Only five variants are part of the price reduction though out of twenty one as the 1.0 TSI Comfortline, 1.5 TSI GT Plus Chrome and 1.5 TSI GT Edge are part of it. The base 1.0 TSI Comfortline sees a price drop of Rs. 70,000 as it now costs RS. 11 lakh and compared to its rivals, it is more affordable than Hyryder and the recently price hiked Honda Elevate.
The 2024 Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus Chrome and its features added version are priced at Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 1.05 lakh less this time around respectively with their prices standing at Rs. 18.69 lakh apiece.

The top-end Taigun GT Edge witnesses the highest price reduction of Rs. 1.1 lakh and all iterations of this grade now cost Rs. 18.90 lakh. Both Taigun GT Plus Chrome and GT Edge derive power from a 1.5L four-cylinder turbocharged TSI petrol engine, developing a maximum power output of 150 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque.
The powertrain is linked with a seven-speed DSG. The 1.0L three-cylinder TSI petrol, on the other hand, makes 115 PS and 175 Nm. A six-speed manual and a six-speed torque converter automatic are other transmission options.
The German auto major will unveil the prices of the Taigun GT Edge Sport soon and reservations for the new GT Line and GT Plus Sport trims are now open.
