Ahead of the global debut in the coming weeks, Skoda has revealed the design sketches of the upcoming 2024 Octavia facelift
As we all know Skoda is all set to introduce the 2024 facelift model of its high-selling Octavia. Expected to make its global debut very soon, this will be the first facelift of the fourth-generation Octavia which was launched in the year 2020. Recently, the Czech carmaker also shared a teaser video of the upcoming sedan, giving a sneak peek into its new design.
In the latest development, Skoda has released the design sketches of the upcoming 2024 Octavia facelift, thereby giving us a good glimpse of the expected changes to the sedan’s styling. So, let’s have a look at the first design sketches of the 2024 Octavia Facelift.
Taking a brief look at the design sketches reveals that the new Octavia will not stray too far away from the outgoing model in terms of overall styling. However, there will be significant changes in order to achieve a refreshed identity for the brand’s global best-selling product. Upfront, the signature Skoda grille will undergo minor changes flanked by a set of LED headlamps which now appear sharper than before with the company’s new Crystallinium element.
Moreover, the bumpers have been reworked and are now designed to enhance the sporty appeal. Towards the sides, we can easily spot a new set of alloy wheels, a strong waistline and a mildly sloping roofline. The taillights will remain more or less the same as before, however, the bumper will be new with sharp creases which will go well with the sedan’s overall stance.
While the details about the interiors are under wraps we can expect minor changes including new upholstery, a larger infotainment system along with a host of new features from the new generation Superb as well as Kodiaq.
In addition to the regular version, the new Octavia will also be available in the high-performance RS or Sportline guise. Under the hood, the 2024 Skoda Octavia Facelift will continue with the familiar powertrain options. Internationally, the premium sedan is available with multiple engine gearbox combinations including the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, 1.4-litre plug-in hybrid, 2.0-litre turbo diesel engines and more.
