2024 Hero Xpulse 210 may develop around 25 bhp maximum power and 20.4 Nm of peak torque utilising a 210 cc liquid-cooled engine

Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson partnership gave rise to the locally produced Harley-Davidson X440 a few months ago and it has been well received by customers. The largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world is expected to introduce a new motorcycle under its belt before the end of this financial year, utilising the same powertrain as the HD X440.

It could be a power cruiser taking inspiration from the Yamaha MT-01. Following the launch of the Harley-Davidson X440, Hero brought in the much-awaited Karizma XMR 210 with a brand new engine. The faired supersport’s prices have been increased by Rs. 7,000 as well. The same liquid-cooled engine will find its way to more new Hero motorcycles.

The Hero Xpulse certainly has a cult following considering that it is the most affordable dual-purpose adventure tourer money can buy. Judging by a new set of spy images, the brand appears to be working on the second-generation Xpulse. The test prototype wears a heavy camouflage but the heart of the matter is that it is equipped with the same 210 cc engine as the Karizma XMR.

It makes all the sense in the world as the biggest drawback of the Xpulse is its top-end performance and the more powerful liquid-cooled DOHC unit will likely help in sorting that out. The Xpulse moved from 2V to 4V but the performance gains were not too noticeable. The 2024 Hero Xpulse may develop around 25 bhp maximum power and 20.4 Nm of peak torque as the Karizma XMR.

Around 6.1 bhp more power and 3.1 Nm torquier than the existing 199.6 cc air-cooled mill. While the design will take an evolutionary approach, most of the body panels and underpinnings could be carried over from the existing model. It will also aid in positioning the new adv a little higher up the range considering the new bits and bobs and it will still maintain its stature as the most affordable adv in the country.

Currently, the Xpulse 200 4V costs between Rs. 1.45 lakh and Rs. 1.52 lakh (ex-showroom) and it could see a bump of around Rs. 30,000-40,000. Expect it to debut midway through next year ahead of the arrival of the flagship Xpulse 421 in late 2024 or 2025.
