Jeep Compass 2WD Diesel AT is priced at Rs. 23.99 lakh (ex-showroom); gets cosmetic updates including a new grille and alloy wheel design
Jeep India has today announced the launch of the two-wheel-drive variants of the Compass diesel version, paired with an automatic gearbox. Priced at Rs. 23.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the SUV has also gained minor cosmetic updates as a newly designed grille section and all-new alloy wheels have been included. It comes two years after the American manufacturer introduced a mid-life update.
The company sells the Compass and Meridian in the domestic market but their sales numbers have reduced in recent times. The revised 2023 Jeep Compass aims to revive the volume fortunes and it has been made available in five trim levels namely Sport, Longitude, Longitude+, Limited, and Model S. The base variant carries a price tag of Rs. 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
It is sold only with a diesel engine, mated to a six-speed manual transmission and the prices have been reduced. The new Jeep Compass Longitude variant comes with a two-wheel drive manual or a nine-speed automatic transmission option and thus making it the least expensive of the automatic portfolio. It is priced at Rs. 23.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Along with this new powertrain option, Jeep has also updated the Compass with new grille and alloy wheel designs across the board. The American SUV brand had previously refreshed the Compass line-up in India with the Compass facelift in 2021.
The Longitude+ gains a wireless smartphone charger and a dual-pane sunroof along with the equipment offered with the Longitude trim. The new Compass Limited is retailed with a new Black Shark edition boasting a set of black finished alloy wheels, contrast red highlights and a black-themed cabin enhancing its sporty appeal further.
The range-topping 2023 Jeep Compass S trim features the new two-wheel drive configuration, coupled with an automatic transmission and it can also be had with four-wheel-drive options. It gets a new chrome-finished front grille. In other news, the Jeep Meridian Overland Edition comes with a new grille and alloy wheels and a copper-themed interior.
As for the performance, the 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine delivers 170 PS maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque.
