The new Apache RTR 160 price starts from Rs 1.17 lakh while the RTR 180 is priced from Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
TVS Motor Company has launched the new Apache RTR 180 and the new Apache RTR 160 in India with new features, updated looks, and new ride modes for buyers. Here is a list of the top 5 things you should know about these new TVS bikes in the country.
1. Updated Design:
While the basic design language of both the bikes remains similar, the brand is now offering updated graphics and redesigned elements including new headlights and new taillights. Furthermore, the bike now also gets faux vents on the front cowl and new body panels.
2. New Features:
Both the bikes will now get a new fully digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, TVS SmartXonnext and segment-first Voice Assist. Other features include turn-by-turn navigation, gear position indicator and shift assist, call and notification alerts, race telemetry and lap timer mode. All these features are offered as a standard part of the package for the buyers of the RTR 180 while only the top-spec variant of the RTR 160 will get these features.
3. New Powertrain Options:
The TVS Apache RTR 160 gets the same 159.7 cc petrol engine that now delivers 16.04 PS and 13.85 Nm. The RTR 180 on the other hand gets a 177.4 PS petrol engine. This engine churns out 17.02 PS and 15.50 Nm of maximum torque. Both bikes get X-ring chains.
4. Ride Modes:
The new Apache RTR 160 and the TVS Apache RTR 180 also get ride modes for the first time. Three bike modes include – Sport, Urban, and Rain. Based on the mode selected, the bikes change the throttle mapping and ABS sensitivity.
5. Price And Variants:
In addition to all the updates, the bike now also gets a revised price tag. To start with, the RTR 160 will be offered in three variants – Drum, Disc, and Disc BT. These variants are priced at Rs 1,17,790, Rs 1,21,290, and Rs 1,24,590 respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Apache RTR 180 on the other hand is only available in a single trim option – DIsc BT. This version of the bike is priced at Rs 1,30,590 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
