2021 Skoda Octavia RS Rendered, Looks Captivating

2021 Skoda Octavia RS rendering-2

Skoda could reveal the sporty RS version of the fourth-gen Octavia at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show

The fourth-gen Skoda Octavia was revealed late last year, and since then, has only been praised for its looks, its extensive list of features and what not. But what if there was a car that was as practical, as good-looking, and came packed with the same features as the regular saloon, but performed even better? This is where the Octavia RS steps in.

The current Octavia RS on sale is based on the facelifted version of the third-gen Octavia. Skoda did not reveal any information about the sporty RS variant at the fourth-gen Octavia’s debut, however, we can’t wait to have a glimpse of what the upcoming Octavia RS would look like and hence, this rendering by kolesa might actually feed our impatience for the time being.

As compared to the regular fourth-gen Octavia, the rendered model obviously sports the unique ‘RS’ badging on the front grille, as well as the tailgate. The chrome outline on the grille has been blacked out, to make it look sporty. The front bumper of the car sports a larger air dam, as compared to the regular Octavia.

The rendered 2021 Octavia RS is equipped with 19-inch Xtreme alloy wheels, finished in grey gunmetal, and gets red brake calipers. At the rear, the car sports the signature RS spoiler along with dual exhaust tips. The suspension of this performance-oriented car has been lowered for obvious reasons.

Skoda will likely be launching the 2021 Octavia RS in the European markets later this year, and could possibly reveal the car at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March.

On the other hand, Skoda Auto India is readying one last batch of 200 units of the current-gen Octavia RS 245 to be brought to India this year, before the model is discontinued. The Euro-spec car that comes with a 2.0-litre TSI engine which puts out 245 PS of max power and 370 Nm of peak torque, will be brought to the country through a CBU route, and will be showcased at the upcoming 2020 Auto Expo next month.
