Honda is working on the all-new version of their mid-size sedan, the all-new car is expected to be launched in 2020

The popular mid-size sedan, Honda City, will soon get an all-new version in the global markets. A heavily camouflaged version of the all-new City was caught testing in Thailand and it will also be launched in the Indian market as the fifth-generation Honda City.

Honda introduced the fourth-generation all-new Honda City in the Indian market back in 2014, which is coming to the end of its life cycle. The heavily camouflaged version of the Honda City that was caught testing in Thailand looks longer than the current version. Also, it seems wider than the current City. However, due to the heavily camouflaged body, the details like newly designed headlamps and tail lamps remain hidden.

The all-new Honda City will adopt the new design language, which is likely to be similar to the Honda Accord and the Honda Civic. The upcoming mid-size sedan is expected to offer a wide grille with the sleek headlamps positioned on either side. Just like the current version, the all-new City will get LED headlights and sleek looking tail lamps too. The new tail lamps look much larger than the current version of the car.

It should be noted that the all-new Honda City is expected to incorporate hybrid technology. The hybrid system will be launched only with the petrol engine. It will be similar to the hybrid systems available with the current Honda cars in the international markets. Most likely, the all-new Honda City will get the same engine options as the current version. However, the engine options will be updated to meet the stricter BS-VI norms.

Currently, the Honda City is not available with the diesel-automatic version. But since the diesel-CVT combination is available with the Honda Amaze in the market, we can expect Honda to offer the same with the all-new City too. Feature-wise, there can be a lot of upgrades inside the cabin.
