2019 Maruti Alto K10 comes with additional safety features that help it gain compliance with the latest safety norms

The 2019 Maruti Alto K10 has been launched with a gamut of additional safety features that help it comply with the latest safety regulations. The introduction of the new safety features has even resulted into a price increase.

The earlier Maruti Alto K10 retailed in a price range of Rs 3.39 lakh-Rs 4.46 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). However, the updated version costs Rs 3.66 lakh to Rs 4.45 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). We feel that this increase in prices is entire justified through the many updates that the small car has received.

The 2019 Maruti Alto K10 offers standard safety features such as ABS with EBD, high speed alert system, front seat belt reminder, and driver-side airbag. Until now, the driver-side airbag was an optional feature available only the top-end trim.

Thanks to the latest set of updates, the 2019 Maruti Alto K10 complies with the AIS-145 grade safety norms. The Maruti Alto will soon receive a generation change. The new model is currently known as Y1K, which is its codename. It will be based on the Maruti Future-S Concept that was seen at the last year’s Auto Expo.

The crossover-like design of the next-gen Maruti Alto should help it snatch some limelight away from the Renault Kwid and the Datsun Redi-GO. The new model will comply with all the latest and upcoming safety norms and is expected to continue with the 1.0-litre motors that are available on the current model along with a new turbocharged 660cc petrol engine.
