2018 Toyota Yaris sedan rivals the likes of Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna; gets powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine making 109 PS
Toyota has long been expected to enter the C-segment judging by its global model range. It has finally decided to do so as the Yaris sedan has been finally unveiled at the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo in Greater Noida with much fanfare.
It was thought to have the Vios badge but we were the first to reveal in January that its domestic market name is indeed Yaris. It will be commercially launched on May 17 in India. The Yaris or Yaris ATIV in some Asian markets is not as premium as the Vios but it does fit the bill perfectly as a Honda City rival.
