Toyota India has launched the 2018 version of the Camry Hybrid in the domestic market for a price of Rs. 37.22 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Being a MY update, Toyota elected not to make any revisions to the exterior as the premium sedan continues to have the sporty front fascia with automatic LED headlamps and a busy bumper while the rear end comes equipped with horizontal tail lamps and chrome accents on the bumper.
Amidst the same exterior compared to the outgoing model, the Japanese manufacturer has made some slight tweaks inside the cabin as the carbon wood finished dashboard, door trims, centre console and multi-functional steering wheel gain upholstery in tan colour. The updated touchscreen infotainment features navigation, Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in connectivity.

The internal combustion engine is paired with 650 V synchronous motor that develops 143 hp and 270 Nm and the resultant combined power output stands at 205 hp. The hybrid cycle uses 6.5 Ah 245 V Nickel metal hybrid battery. The arrival of GST tax was a hammer blow for hybrid vehicles and therefore it is to be waited and see whether Toyota will bring in the next generation model next time or not!
