2018 Honda Civic range comprises of Sedan, Coupe and Si versions; range-topping 1.5-litre turbocharged engine makes 205 hp

Honda has revealed that it will be introducing the new Civic range in the US on October 3. Having announced the pricing details, the new Civic series comprises of the regular Sedan version along with the Coupe as well as Si models. Compared to the already existing range, the 2018 Honda Civic would not boast a huge amount of changes as the brand thinks it is already competitive in the segment.

It is made available with a slew of in-car connectivity features, safety technologies and three different engine options targetting unique set of customers. Prices for the 2018 Honda Civic Sedan starts at $18,840 for the base LX trim. For that money, buyers will be treated with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine which is good enough to deliver a maximum power of 158 hp.

2018 Honda Civic Si Coupe

It is mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission. Close to another $3,000, Honda will be providing a 1.5-litre turbocharged unit in the EX-T trim. In a similar fashion, the 2018 Honda Civic Coupe begins at $19,250 for the 2.0-litre engine equipped manual gearbox version while the more powerful 1.5-litre turbo motor can be ordered at $21,700.

Apart from the entry-level trims, the Sedan and Coupe versions can be had with option of CVT automatic transmission. The range-topping Si variant is quoted with a starting price of $24,100. It can be specified in either Sedan or Coupe configuration and gets powered by the same 1.5-litre turbo unit making 205 horsepower.

The new MY2018 Honda Civic Sedan, Coupe and Si versions can be bought with the Honda Sensing suite offering various driver assistance and safety technologies. Chief among them are Adaptive Cruise Control with Low Speed Follow, Lane Keeping Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning, Collision Mitigation Braking System with Forward Collision Warning and so on.
