The rumours regarding the more affordable version of Bajaj V have been running for quite a long time now. While there has not been enough information regarding the specs and details of the low cost V, a recent report on the internet claims that the Pune-based manufacturer will be launching the motorcycle in the current fiscal.

Bajaj Auto currently has two models under the V umbrella that go by the name V15 and V12. As per the report, Bajaj Auto will launch the more affordable version of V that will sit somewhere between the entry level CT 100 and the V15.

As per data issued by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Bajaj Auto sold a total of 71,365 units of V series during the first half of the current financial year. The brand is now aiming at 20 percent sales growth in the second half of this fiscal.

Bajaj V15 Photos-34A market analyst stated that Bajaj Auto’s senior management is expecting to see a growth of 20 percent YoY in H2 on last year’s low base that was a clear result of demonetisation and transition to BS-IV emission norms. Due to these, the sales of the company remained low.

Bajaj Auto had a busy current fiscal as it launched multiple variants to its existing product range. The company launched the electric start versions of the CT 100 and Platina. Besides, the brand also introduced the Pulsar NS 160 along with the NS 200 ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) variant that have done a decent job this festive season.
