Suzuki has decided to give the GT treatment to its two adventure tourers namely V-Strom 650 and V-Strom 1000. Besides this, the Japanese manufacturer has also added a lot of features to these bikes in their 2017 update.

To start off with, the Suzuki V-Strom 650 in its 2017 iteration will come with a two level traction control system. Besides, the motorcycle is also assisted with a new easy start system along with a low torque assist. There have been revisions to the powertrain as well and the mill now churns out more power and torque in comparison to the outgoing model. The engine in the Suzuki V-Strom 650 in the present form, develops a maximum power of 63 Bhp.

The 2017 Suzuki V-Strom 650 get a new exhaust system as well that looks decent. The bike will now be 1 kg lightweight as compared to its predecessor. To support long distance touring, the new V-Strom 650 has also been bestowed with a 12V charging socket along with heated grips to keep things warm during chilly weather conditions.

Talking of 2017 Suzuki V-Strom 1000, the motorcycle will now come with a cornering ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). Furthermore, the bike receives an easy start system along with low torque assist just like its younger sibling. The motorcycle gets a three stage traction control system and the windscreen also sees some revisions. The overall body design of the 2017 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 witnesses some tweaks and the new model should be slightly more handsome than the present day one.

Both, the Suzuki V-Strom 650 and V-Strom 1000 have been assisted with a GT pack. The said equipment comprises of a three piece luggage set out of which, one is a top box while the other two are side luggage panniers. The GT pack is currently available with the off road XT version of the V-Strom 650 and V-Strom 1000.

India only has the V-Strom 1000 at the moment and the company will reportedly launch the V-Strom 650 in the country sometime in March next year. Now what remains to be seen is whether we get receive the GT pack here or not!
