Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Facelift
Maruti Suzuki is working on an update for Ciaz as the sedan is facing intense competition from new models like Verna and Yaris. The facelift model comes with subtle changes on exterior to make it look more premium compared to outgoing model. The front get new black finished grille, which extend towards headlamps.
The company has also given new front bumper along with revised fog lamp housing. The headlamp cluster gets smoked finish with projector lamps along with integrated LED DRLs give a fresh appeal for Ciaz. The side design appears to be same from current model except for new design for alloy wheels.
The rear also gets slightly revised tail lamps along with an updated bumper. The dimensions remain same and the exterior changes does make Ciaz look upmarket. Maruti continued the same design theme for interior and the only update is new instrument cluster, which is different from current Ciaz.
The company has given dual tone beige colour theme for interior and it comes loaded with lots of features like touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, cruise control, leather seats, key less entry, push button start, multi-function steering wheel, rain sensing wiper and more.
The Ciaz will be the first product to launch with newly developed petrol engine and the company won’t offer diesel engine for facelift model as they are also working on a new engine. The 1.5 L petrol engine produces 104 bhp of power and 138 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to 5 speed manual and 4 speed automatic gearbox. To improve efficiency, the petrol engine also comes with SHVS technology which improves efficiency. Maruti Suzuki is going to launch Ciaz facelift next month in India.

2018 Hyundai Santro
Hyundai is going to expand hatchback lineup in India with a new model which is going to be placed to between Eon and Grand i10. The new model is expected to be christened as Santro and the Korean manufacturer decided to bring back the iconic name to Indian market as it has lots of fan following across the country.
The design of new generation Santro took inspirations from Grand i10 as the company has given big swooping headlamps with signature Hyundai grille at front with fog lamps. The side design is slightly different compared to Grand i10, but the company has given indicators on top of front wheel arches instead of mirror.
We can also expect Hyundai to offer diamond cut alloy wheels on top end variant of Santro. The rear design also gets big tail lamps along with number plate holder on bumper with reflectors placed on either side like Grand i10. The understated design of new Santro will appeal to wider audience and interior also carry forward same design theme.
The company has given new three spoke multi-function steering wheel and gear lever is integrated into dashboard to liberate more space in centre console. We can expect Hyundai to pack new Santro with lots of features like touch screen infotainment system, key less entry, push button start, cooled glove box and more.
In India, Hyundai will offer either 1.2 L Kappa series engine from Grand i10 with 81 PS or they might re-introduce old engine from Santro but the Korean manufacturer will make some changes for better efficiency. These engines will be mated to 5 speed manual and new AMT transmission, which is named as Smart Auto. The Santro will be priced aggressively and it will compete against Renault Kwid and Maruti Suzuki Celerio in India.

2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
Suzuki officially introduced second generation of Ertiga earlier this year in Indonesia and it will be introduced by festival season in India. The Ertiga comes with an all new design theme, which is different from outgoing model as the company has focused on making new model premium and upmarket.
The front get new grille along with swept back headlamps with projectors and LED DRLs. The new design of bumper gives a wider look for Ertiga. But the side continues to have same MPV design theme from previous generation model and at rear, the Ertiga get Volvo inspired LED tail lamps and new bumper.
The company has increased length, width and height of new Ertiga as they want to increase space inside the cabin. The interior design of Ertiga took some inspirations from Audi and the company has given three spoke flat bottom steering wheel, which is similar to new generation Swift and Dzire along with new dashboard design.
The New Ertiga comes with long list of features which include touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, steering mounted controls, key less entry, push button start, cruise control, cooled glove box, projector headlamps, alloy wheels, roof mounted AC vents for second row and more.
Maruti Suzuki is expected to introduce new petrol engine, which debut with Ciaz on Ertiga also as 1.5 L engine produces 104 bhp of power and 138 Nm of torque. The company might retain same 1.3 L diesel engine puts out 89 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. These engines will be mated to 5 speed manual and AMT transmission.

2018 Ford Aspire
Ford introduced Aspire compact sedan in India with great expectation but sales were average only from the start, even though the American manufacturer has priced the model aggressively with good features list but interior design was not upto the mark of competitors. The Aspire facelift model already made its global debut and it will be introduced soon in India.
The front gets new bigger headlamps along with slightly updated grille and bumper also gets a new design theme. The side continues to be same except for new alloy wheels and rear get new tweaked headlamps along with an updated bumper round of exterior changes on Aspire facelift. The interior gets a major make over compared to exterior.
The design of dashboard is similar to Freestyle, which was launched earlier this year in India. The centre console has been completely re-worked and gets a new tablet like touch screen instead of earlier small screen and plethora of buttons. The AC controls has been retained from previous model along with instrument cluster.
Ford Aspire is loaded with features like infotainment system with new Sync software, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, cruise control, steering mounted audio controls, reverse parking sensors along with camera, electrically adjustable OVRMs, cooled glove box, rain sensing wipers and more. The company is also focusing on safety as Aspire will come with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD in top end variants and dual airbags standard on all other models.
The current generation 1.2 L and 1.5 L petrol engines will be replaced by new dragon series engine debuted on Freestyle. The 1.2 L dragon series engine produces 95 hp and 120 Nm. The powerful 1.5 L engine puts out 121 hp and 150 Nm. Ford also offer 1.5 L diesel engine with 100 hp. These engines will be mated to 5 speed manual and 6 speed auto with 1.5 L petrol engine.

2018 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is one of the best selling hatchbacks in India and the company is working on next generation model. Ever since first generation model, Wagon R is known for its tall boy design and they will continue same theme for new generation. Even though this theme affects body control, it can improve space inside cabin.
The front gets new headlamps along with updated grille and bumper will be completely new. The side design is expected to be carried forward from current model except for new alloy wheels design but the tyre size won’t go up. The rear gets new tail lamps along with all new bumper. Maruti will give roof rails for Wagon R.
The interior will get a modern design theme compared to old school dashboard of current model. The centre console gets a touch screen and AC controls will be placed below it. We can expect Maruti to improve quality of materials used inside cabin. The rear get flat floor to further improve leg space for passengers.

The suspension will be tuned towards ride quality rather than handling as it was always a USP of Wagon R.
The new Wagon R will continue to be powered by 1.0 L petrol engine producing 67 bhp of power at 6,200 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. This engine will be mated to 5 speed manual and AMT gearbox. We can expect Maruti to tune the engine for efficiency as it could return 20+ kmpl and the company is also working on a hybrid model for future.

Datsun Go Facelift
Nissan introduced Datsun brand to global market after a long gap and the company debut with Go hatchback, which is based on revised Nissan Micra platform. Even though exterior design gives the impression of a big hatchback, the interior lack and the company is going to launch an update for Go in India.
The exterior design changes for Go facelift new bumper, which looks sporty with cuts and curves. Datsun also redesigned fog lamp housing of Go and they have given LED DRLs on the side of fog lamps. The company has also made some changes for grille along with updated headlamps gives a new look for Go.

2018 Datsun Go+ Facelift
Datsun Go+ is one of the most affordable MPV available in Indian market. But sales were not really good for budget MPV and the company is going to introduce an update for Go+ to further improve sales. The Go+ facelift model has already been revealed in other Asian markets and they are going to launch new model in India soon.
The Go+ facelift model comes with revised headlamps and slightly bigger grille. The front bumper is completely new as they have tried to give a sporty look and the company has given a new design theme for fog lamp housing also. The LED DRLs has been integrated into fog lamp housing rather than on headlamp.

Mahindra S201 (XUV300)
The compact MPV segment in India is getting lots of attention from buyers and most of the people prefer these type of body style as our roads are not in great conditions, so high ground clearance vehicles can easily glide over them. The company has been working on a long time on a compact SUV and it is codenamed as S201.
The S201 is a sub four metre compact SUV, which is going to compete against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza , Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon. The company has finalized design of S201 as recent test mules come with production headlamps and LED tail lamps, which were not seen in previous test mules as they had dummy lights.
The S201 is based on SsangYong Tivoli platform and the company use monocoque architecture for the new model as it is going to be second model in Mahindra lineup to be based on it while all other models are based on ladder frame chassis. The design of S201 is going to be attractive as they want it to appeal to youngsters also.
The interior is taken straight from Tivoli, which is couple of years old in the market. The centre console get touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The S201 comes with dual zone climate control, which is a segment first and the company has given lots of features for compact SUV.
Mahindra will introduce S201 with both petrol and diesel engines. The diesel engine might be the same one available on Scoprio and other models, which is 1.99 L mHawk engine but they are also developed a new diesel unit. Mahindra was one of the dominant forces in MPV segment with Xylo. But over the years, the company gave more importance to other segments and Xylo never got an update while Innova became more popular in Indian market. Now the company has decided to make a come back in MPV segment with a new model.
The new MPV is named as Marazzo and it means shark. The codename of upcoming is U321 and it comes with an all new design theme. Mahindra took inspirations from shark for the design of Marazzo and it is the first product design and developed from Mahindra’s North American Technical Centre in Detroit.
The front get new grille along with swept back projector headlamps with new bumper and fog lamps. The side design of Marazzo continues the plain MPV design theme, we have seen from other models. But the company has given new LED tail lamps at rear along with new bumper. Overall, the design is upmarket and sporty.
According to Mahindra, the interior of Marazzo is going to be quietest in its segment. The company has given an all new interior design theme for Marazzo as the swooping dashboard design does make the MPV look upmarket. The Marazzo comes with three spoke steering wheel with button to control music system and a new instrument cluster.

Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP
In India performance affordable models are getting more popular among customers. The Baleno RS and Polo GT to name few, even the new Octavia RS which is priced more than 25 lakh is also popular which shows that customers are willing to spend money on performance and they give more importance for sporty driving.
Tata Motors Tiago and Tigor are two best selling products for the company as they helped the Indian manufacturer to make profits. Now the company has partnered with Jayem Automobiles to develop performance variants of Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP. Both these models come with subtle exterior changes to make them different from regular model.
The Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP come with new bumper along with smoked headlamps and black finish for front grille and fog lamp housing. The company has also given contrasting roof with black colour for roof and red colour for mirrors. The rear get new bumper along with tweaked tail lamps and new diffuser.
The interior remains to be same on both models but they are finished in black colour, which does make them sporty and performance models are based on top end variants, which comes with all bells and whistles like music system, Bluetooth, steering mounted controls, electric OVRMs, mirrors and more.
The suspension also gets some tweaks to make them sporty and ground clearance might be reduced also. Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP are powered by 1.2 L turbocharged petrol engine producing 110 bhp of power and 150 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to 5 speed manual gearbox for extra fun. We can expect launch to take place later this year.

Mahindra XUV 700
Mahindra is currently working on a new premium SUV, which is going to be positioned above XUV 500 in lineup. The new model will be based on new generation SsangYong Rexton, which made its global debut earlier this year. The XUV 700 takes inspiration from Rexton and share so many components with it.
But the design is going to be completely different from Rexton as it comes with tooth grille along with Mahindra logo in centre followed by swept back big headlamps with projector and LED DRLs. The front bumper is completely new and comes with fog lamps. The company has given black cladding for the lower part which runs across the body.
The side get big wheel arches along with 17 or 18 inch alloy wheels and the company has given chrome window lining to make it more premium. At the rear, Mahindra has given LED tail lamps and new bumper, which continues the muscular theme from front to rear. The exterior design of XUV 700 will certainly appeal to lots of customers.
The interior is going to be upmarket and comes loaded with lots of features like touch screen infotainment system, climate control, leather seats, push button start, key less entry, sunroof, alloy wheels, cruise control, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, rear parking sensors with camera and more.
The XUV 700 is powered by 2.0 L petrol engine producing 220 bhp of power and 225 Nm of torque. The 2.2 L diesel engine puts out 185 hp and 400 Nm. These engines will be mated to manual and automatic gearbox. The company will also give option of two wheel drive and four wheel drive. We can expect Mahindra to launch XUV 700 by the end of 2018 in India.

2018 Honda CR-V
The fifth generation of Honda CR-V made its India debut at 2018 Auto Expo. The basic body design of CR-V continues to be same from old models but the company has made so many changes under the hood and mechanicals to make it better as previous generation of CR-V was popular in India thanks to its refinement and upmarket feel.
The Japanese manufacturer has given LED headlights with a thick chrome grille and new muscular bumper with black body cladding, which runs across the body gives SUV look for CR-V. Honda has given massive 18 inch alloy wheels with big wheel arches and at rear, the CR-V also get LED tail lamps along with new bumper.
The querky interior design theme from previous model continues onto new generation of CR-V as Honda has given new three multi-function steering wheel with an all digital instrument cluster. The design of centre console is different from other models and the company has reduced the number of buttons for modern look.

The CR-V is expected to come with two petrol and one diesel engine option. The petrol engines are 2.0 L and 2.4 L along with 1.6 L diesel engine, which will make its debut with new generation of Civic later this year. Honda might offer four wheel drive system only with powerful 2.4 L petrol engine. These engines will be mated to manual and automatic gearbox. Honda will price CR-V aggressively.
