The Introductory price of the Aprilia SR150 is Rs. 65,000; booking opens on Paytm
Piaggio has rolled out the premium scooter Aprilia SR150 in India at a price of Rs. 65,000. The scooter is being sold through Piaggio’s dealership network and also through Motoplex. Apart from these, customers can also book their Aprilia SR 150 through Paytm at Rs. 2,000. Interestingly, the customers can avail up to 100% cashback on the booking amount on Paytm by using the promo code APRILIA2K.
Aprilia SR 150 was first showcased at 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo. The scooter represents a new crop of crossovers, which are a blend between scooters and motorcycles. It is being manufactured at the Piaggio’s Baramati plant in Maharashtra. The SR 150 is the first scooter in India from the Aprilia and is inspired by the design of the RSV 4 1000 RF Factory.

The scooter features an aggressive appearance. It gets dual headlamps, one at the beak like cowl and one at the front atop. The handle bars come sporting the turn indicators. Apart from these, the scooter comes with dual pod analog instrument cluster, sporty body graphics and flat foot bed. The scooter also gets underseat storage compartment. The grab rail for the pillion rider comes in a split manner.
Aprilia SR 150 is powered by a 154.4 cc single cylinder air cooled three valve carbureted engine. The same engine is the power source for another premium scooter Vespa 150. A CVT gearbox does the transmission duty in the Aprilia SR 150. This engine is well capable to churn out 11.55 PS of peak power at 7,000 rpm and 11.5 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm.

On the suspension front the SR 150 gets telescopic suspension at front and single side coil spring at rear. A 220 mm disc brake does the braking duty at the front wheel, while the rear wheel gets drum brake. The scooter runs on 14 inch black alloy wheels, which are wrapped with performance oriented tyres.
