Given the increasing preference among customers for SUVs equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and safety technologies, numerous upcoming models will feature these advancements. Here we have listed the 10 upcoming cars that will be launched this year featuring ADAS:

1. Mahindra Thar Armada:

The five-door Mahindra Thar is set to launch in August, featuring a 1.5L diesel engine, a 2.0L petrol engine, and a 2.0L diesel engine, with both manual and automatic transmission options. It will have larger dimensions compared to the three-door Thar and will boast a more luxurious interior including advanced technologies like a larger touchscreen, ADAS and a digital console.

2. Tata Curvv EV & ICE:

The Curvv’s electric variant is set to launch first in the coming months, with an expected range of over 500 km. Following this, the ICE version will be introduced, featuring a new 1.2L direct-injection petrol engine and a 1.5L diesel engine. Both will be equipped with Level 2 ADAS.

3. Hyundai Creta EV:

The Creta EV has frequently been seen testing both in India and abroad and is set to make its global debut later this calendar year. It is expected to use the same electric motor as the Kona Electric and will be heavily influenced by its ICE Creta sibling. The midsize electric SUV is likely to have a range exceeding 450 km and since the features list will be more or less similar to the Creta, Level 2 ADAS will be a primary inclusion.

4. MG Gloster Facelift, Cloud EV & Astor Facelift:

The updated MG Gloster is set to launch in the coming months with mild cosmetic updates and new interior features. The MG electric crossover based on the Wuling Cloud is also expected this year Additionally, a refreshed version of the Astor appears to be in the works as well. All will feature driver assistive and safety tech as the brand prioritises it.

5. New Kia Carnival:

The fourth generation Kia Carnival will arrive in the coming months and it will be a radical departure compared to the old MPV which was on sale until last year in India. The exterior will stick by the latest Opposites United design philosophy while the interior will be loaded with features pertaining to entertainment, comfort, convenience and assistance.

The seven-seater Nissan X-Trail SUV is expected to be offered only with a 1.5L turbo petrol engine. It will be sold as a fully imported model, debuting in limited trims or as a single fully-loaded variant. Initially, it will be available in limited quantities and will feature Nissan’s ProPilot and Driver Assist Technology.

7. Kia EV9:

The Kia EV9, with a WLTP-certified range of 541 km, will arrive in India as a completely built unit (CBU) in late 2024. This flagship seven-seater electric SUV, built on the dedicated E-GMP platform, will feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital cluster and a lot more. Globally, it is available with Level 3 ADAS.

8. Jeep Meridian Facelift:

The updated Jeep Meridian is scheduled for release in the latter half of 2024. This mid-cycle refresh will introduce visual updates and a more feature-rich interior, including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The existing powertrain options will remain the same.
