Nissan Micra X-Shift has been launched as a limited edition variant to Micra stable
Nissan in India is known for doing things out of the box and this time they have done it again. Nissan India has just launched a limited edition model of the Micra which comes with X-Shift technology aka the CVT box that is present on the Micra. The informative part of this news is that the automatic gearbox has been made accessible on the lower XL variant as well. Limited edition Nissan Micra X-Shift has been launched in the market to celebrate Nissan’s 5’th anniversary of the Micra launch.
There is a twist to the tale here. The Nissan Micra X-Shift is now available in XL variant and since this Micra is limited edition there will be only 750 units sold of this model in the country. The Nissan Micra X-Shift will continue to be sold in the middle variant hence forth, but not in this limited edition spec which is limited to 750 units. The XL variant of the Nissan Micra X-Shift is priced at 6.34 lakhs meanwhile the top-end variant of the Nissan Micra CVT will cost at 7.04 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi.
Nissan Micra X-Shift name is strictly for the middle variant that is a limited edition model. The car comes with chrome tip exhaust finisher, branded floor mats, silver finished door armrests, LED scuff plates and reverse parking sensor. Matt black roof wrap and side decals as a strip on the side of the car are also things offered at no extra cost. Interiors remain similar to the car as the only the change is the change to the steering wheel.

The Nissan Micra X-Shift is powered by a fourth generation CVT gearbox and delivers an impressive fuel efficiency figure of 19.34 km/l as per ARAI which clearly is above of the manual variant of the same car with the same petrol engine. The engine is the 1.2L petrol 3-cylinder variant that produces 76 PS power. Nissan has done a good job with safety features as well. Nissan Micra X-Shift comes with 4 airbags ABS and EBD as standard. Nissan Micra X-Shift is sensibly priced and should attract buyers and owning an CVT automatic just got cheaper.
