Ultraviolette has launched the new X-47 Venom in India at an introductory Rs. 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom) which is applicable to the first 5,000 customers. Bookings have opened today and deliveries will set to begin as early as next month. The motorcycle becomes the first production model based on Ultraviolette’s newly developed VX-100 100V platform. Its European launch has been scheduled for November 3 at EICMA 2026 in Milan.
The biggest mechanical change sits underneath the motorcycle as the VX-100 platform works alongside the new SRB-11 battery and UV Lightfury motor. The X-47 Venom now weighs 180 kg – around 20 kg less than the previous model and its ground clearance stands at 200 mm. Ultraviolette has also developed a new motor control unit that is twice as compact and delivers three times the power density of the earlier controller.
The new 30 kW (40 hp) Lightfury motor delivers 550 Nm at the wheel. The X-47 Venom accelerates from 0 to 60 kmph in just 2.7 seconds and reaches 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds as its claimed top speed rises to 155 kmph. The IDC riding range stands at an impressive 343 km per charge. The motor incorporates Soft Magnetic Composite technology and is physically lighter and more compact as Ultraviolette has targeted lower energy losses alongside higher power density.
Charging system has also changed substantially. A 1.6 kW onboard charger is fitted and the X-47 Venom supports external DC fast charging at up to 12 kW – no other electric two-wheeler currently sold in India supports that charging rate. The system monitors overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, excessive temperature and short circuit conditions during charging.
Safety technology extends far past regular motorcycle electronics as the UV Hypersense relies on a 77 GHz rear radar capable of monitoring traffic up to 200 metres behind the motorcycle. The system compensates for roll, pitch and lean angles of up to 20 degrees. Blind spot monitoring, lane change assist, overtake alert and rear collision warning are supported as well. The rear-collision function can also activate the hazard lamps as warnings reach the rider through the advanced mirrors.

The cockpit now centres around a 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen called UV Interface X along with Mappls-based navigation and cruise control. Front and rear dashcams are integrated and Park Assist displays a rear-camera feed during low speed manoeuvres. In addition, Violette A.I. encompasses Movement Alert, Fall Alert, Towing Alert, Remote Lockdown, Crash Alert, Delta Watch and Anti-Collision Warning. Real-time vehicle connectivity, companion-app integration and software updates are also present and Ultraviolette quotes extendable warranty coverage of up to 8,00,000 km.
The SRB-11 battery gains up to 20 per cent higher energy density – twice the cooling capability and heat dissipation up to 50 per cent faster. A cast aluminium enclosure provides the structural casing and IP67 protection adds to the highlights. A pyro-fuse can isolate the electrical circuit within microseconds during a critical fault as the BMS monitors individual cell voltage, temperature and current while cell level fuses provide another protective layer. The brand has additionally introduced the B-MAX reusable rider safety vest – rated at twice the stated CE safety standard and 86 per cent force attenuation.
