Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is scheduled for November 26, 2026 with exterior revisions, interior updates and a possible flex-fuel hybrid derivative

Toyota will bring in the facelifted version of its top-selling Innova Hycross in India on November 26, 2026. The update arrives close to four years after the Hycross entered India and test prototypes as well as patent images have already revealed substantial changes to the exterior along with revisions inside the cabin. Toyota is also linked to a new flex-fuel strong hybrid derivative for the updated model.

The cabin could gain one of the more noticeable enhancements. Test prototypes have shown the familiar dashboard but it will be accompanied by a raised centre console and automatic gear selector. Reports point towards a larger touchscreen, revised software, different upholstery and a darker overall theme. However, the seating configurations are expected to stay the same.

The bigger mechanical development could be a flex-fuel strong hybrid version. Toyota has already demonstrated an Innova Hycross prototype capable of running on petrol/ethanol blends up to E85. The experimental vehicle featured revised spark plugs, piston rings, fuel pump components, filters, fuel lines, tank materials and catalyst calibration. An ethanol sensor and cold start system were also part of the engineering changes required for the higher ethanol concentration.

The existing Innova Hycross is sold in GX, GX(O), VX, VX(O), ZX and ZX(O) trims. Prices currently run from Rs. 19.53 lakh to Rs. 32.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and the facelift is expected to sit slightly above the outgoing model. The side profile is expected to stay familiar preserving the overall proportions and MPV stance.

Elsewhere, new alloy wheel design could distinguish the facelift from the outgoing version. The rear may receive lighter revisions than the nose – led by altered LED graphics inside the tail lamps. The tailgate shape, roof spoiler, shark fin antenna and rear wiper could be carried over.

The front receives the most extensive styling work. Patent images reveal a squarer grille featuring diamond-shaped openings, slimmer projector headlamps and a redesigned bumper. The lower section receives a different air intake treatment and prototypes have shown pixel-like LED fog lamps positioned higher on the bumper.

The present 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 2.0-litre strong hybrid engines are expected to stay put. The petrol mill currently kicks out around 173 hp and is matched to a CVT. The strong hybrid delivers around 184 hp through an e-CVT. The claimed fuel economy figures stand at 16.13 kmpl for the petrol and 23.24 kmpl for the strong hybrid.
