
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has reported total sales of 28,218 units in September 2026. Of these, 25,027 units were sold in the domestic market, while another 3,191 units were exported. The company has also recorded steady growth for the calendar year so far, with sales between January and September reaching 2,94,914 units.
Toyota’s domestic business has done most of the heavy lifting this year. Between January and September 2026, the company sold 2,69,619 vehicles in India, compared to 2,47,081 units during the same period in 2025. That’s a 9% increase. Exports stood at 25,295 units during the same period, slightly lower than the 25,743 units shipped in the first nine months of 2025. Put together, Toyota’s total sales have grown by 8% year-on-year, from 2,72,824 units to 2,94,914 units.
Toyota’s India portfolio continues to revolve around SUVs and MPVs. The Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta, Fortuner and Legender are manufactured locally, while the company’s second plant produces the Camry Hybrid, Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Hilux. The wider portfolio also includes the Glanza, Rumion and Urban Cruiser Taisor. Toyota has also listed the Urban Cruiser Ebella in its current line-up, while the Vellfire and Land Cruiser 300 continue to come to India as completely built-up units.

Toyota also has a few important updates coming up that could give its sales another push. The Glanza facelift is expected to arrive in October, while the Innova HyCross facelift is due in early 2027. The latter is particularly significant given the HyCross’ position in Toyota’s MPV line-up, with the updated version expected to retain its existing petrol and strong-hybrid powertrains.
Toyota says September saw continued customer interest across segments. With the festive season now underway, the company expects to work closely with its dealer network and focus on customer engagement. The company currently has two manufacturing facilities at Bidadi, Karnataka, with a combined installed production capacity of up to 3.42 lakh units annually.
