Tata Motors has increased the prices of the Punch EV in India as part of its September 2026 price revision. The electric SUV has become costlier by Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000, depending on the battery pack and variant. Following the latest hike, the Punch EV is now priced between Rs. 9.79 lakh and Rs. 12.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
The price increase is structured around the battery capacity. The entry-level 30 kWh Smart and Smart+ variants have received a Rs. 10,000 increase. Meanwhile, all four variants equipped with the larger 40 kWh battery pack i.e. Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+ S have become Rs. 20,000 more expensive.
This latest revision follows Tata Motors’ broader price hike announced for September. The company had announced that prices across its passenger vehicle range, including both ICE and electric models, would increase by up to Rs. 25,000 from September 1. The actual increase varies depending on the model and variant, and the Punch EV has now received its specific revision.

The Punch EV itself received a significant update earlier this year. The facelift brought a revised front-end with a closed-off grille, updated air vents and connected lighting, along with changes to the cabin. The electric SUV continues to be positioned below the Nexon EV while offering a more compact footprint for buyers looking for an urban electric SUV.
There are two battery options on offer. The 30 kWh version produces 87 bhp and 154 Nm, while the larger 40 kWh version develops 127 bhp and 154 Nm. Tata claims an ARAI range of 355km for the 30kWh battery and 468 km for the 40 kWh version. Interestingly, Tata also quotes a C75 real-world range of around 355 km for the 40 kWh version.

The Punch EV therefore continues to offer a fairly wide range of variants and battery choices. The smaller battery makes more sense for buyers primarily using the car around town, while the 40kWh version is aimed at customers who want more flexibility between charging stops. The price gap between variants, however, becomes slightly more noticeable following this latest hike.
Tata’s electric portfolio is facing considerably more competition than it did when the Punch EV originally arrived. Cars such as the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV and MG Windsor EV, along with the Citroen eC3, give EV buyers more options today.
