Tata Motors’ new aggressive growth curve can be attributed to the success of the Tiago and Nexon. The subcompact SUV graced into the Indian market in September 2017 and since then it has become the second best-selling model for the homegrown automaker every month. Although competitively priced, the Nexon faced price hike due to yearly price revision for 2018 and it will have to deal with another price bump from April 1, 2018 as rising input costs and other economical situations were cited as the reasons.
The Mumbai-headquartered brand has constantly been playing around with new strategies for the Nexon which is about to reach 25,000 sales milestone. The Aero Kit with increased customisation options has been made available recently and at the 2018 Auto Expo last month, the soon-arriving six-speed AMT version was showcased with a new colour scheme.

As we expected, the Tata Nexon XZ variant has just been launched and it is priced at Rs. 7,99,000 for the petrol variant and it goes up to Rs. 8,99,000 for the diesel variant (both prices, ex-showroom New Delhi). The prices make the Nexon XZ cheaper than the petrol-spec XZ+ by just over Rs. 43,000 and on the diesel front it costs around Rs. 58,000 lesser. The new variant’s prices won’t be affected by the upcoming price increase.
