The Tata Aeris has started reaching dealerships ahead of its India launch on September 25, 2026. The pictures show production-spec cars being unloaded from transporters – offering the clearest look yet at the new compact sedan from multiple angles. The Aeris badging name is prominently displayed across the tailgate and a factory-fitted CNG option will be available alongside the petrol range.
The front gains a substantially different treatment from the Tigor as Tata gives the Aeris a sleeker lighting arrangement. The headlamps sit inside a dark horizontal panel that stretches across the nose and incorporates the Tata logo at the centre. The bumper gets a large lower section and a simpler surface finish as the bonnet and front fascia create a more refreshed look for the sub-four-metre sedan.
The images also reveal the production-spec alloy wheels and side profile. The Aeris gets new dual-tone wheels and the roofline flows into a short boot section through a fastback-like rear treatment as the Tigor. The large rear quarter glass and pronounced shoulder line add more visual mass around the back of the sedan.

The rear receives an equally extensive redesign as a full-width light bar connects the tail lamps across the boot. The Tata emblem sits at the centre of the lighting strip and spaced-out AERIS lettering occupies the tailgate below it. The vertical reflector elements sit low on either side of the bumper and the number plate position moves into the lower section.
The cabin is expected to receive major revisions as well. It could get an updated dashboard, larger touchscreen infotainment system and revised digital instrument cluster. The steering wheel and centre console could also change substantially compared with the Tigor. The petrol version is expected to get Tata’s familiar 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron engine.

The existing unit develops around 86 PS and 113 Nm and comes alongside 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox choices while the iCNG variant will also be offered. It will take on Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Aura.
