Suzuki Motorcycle India has updated the Hayabusa for 2026 with a new Special Edition, three new colour options and a handful of rider-focused electronic refinements. The flagship motorcycle continues with its familiar 1,340 cc inline-four engine, but gets a few changes aimed at making the ownership experience more exclusive and the electronics package more refined.
The Hayabusa Special Edition is offered exclusively in Pearl Vigor Blue. It gets special decals and a unique wheel finish, along with a three-dimensional Suzuki emblem on the fuel tank. There is also a Special Edition potting emblem on the tank, anodised muffler-end and heat-guard components, and a single-seat cowl as standard. These additions give the Special Edition a more distinctive appearance without altering the core design of the Hayabusa.
Alongside the Special Edition, Suzuki has introduced three new colour combinations for the standard Hayabusa.
The new colour options are available alongside the refreshed electronics and other updates introduced for the latest Hayabusa. The Hayabusa now gets a new ELIIY Power lithium-ion battery. Suzuki says the new unit is lighter and more compact, while also providing more stable voltage under load. The Launch Control System and Power Mode Selector have also received revised settings. Another notable change is to the Smart Cruise Control system. It now remains active even during gear shifts, allowing the rider to maintain the selected speed without keeping the throttle open.
There are no major changes to the Hayabusa’s core mechanical package. It continues with a 1,340 cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, four-cylinder DOHC engine producing 190 PS and 150 Nm, mated to a 6-speed transmission . The motorcycle uses a twin-spar aluminium frame and swingarm, adjustable KYB inverted forks and Bridgestone BATTLAX HYPERSPORT S22 tyres. Braking is handled by Brembo Stylema front callipers with twin 320 mm floating discs.
The electronics package also includes Motion Track Traction Control, a bi-directional quickshifter, Suzuki Easy Start, Low RPM Assist and Slope Dependent Control. Suzuki says the Hayabusa’s bodywork has also undergone extensive wind-tunnel testing to balance wind protection with high-speed stability.
The updated standard Hayabusa is priced at Rs 18.99 lakh, while the Special Edition costs Rs 19.90 lakh, both ex-showroom Delhi. That puts the exclusive version at a Rs 91,000 premium over the standard motorcycle. Both versions are now available through Suzuki Motorcycle India dealerships across the country.
