Royal Enfield sold 1,26,479 motorcycles in August 2026 as it recorded 11 per cent growth over the 1,14,002 units sold during the same month last year. The company’s volumes grew across both domestic and international markets as it heads towards the festive period in India.

The domestic sales have also been key to Royal Enfield’s cumulative numbers during the first five months of FY2027. Between April and August 2026, the company sold 5,20,695 motorcycles in India – up 28 per cent from 4,07,909 units during the corresponding period last year. RE’s product portfolio received two significant additions and updates last month. The Chennai-based manufacturer launched the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition in India and Nepal drawing inspiration from the legacy of the Gorkha Regiment. The motorcycle gets a Gorkha Green finish and a bespoke insignia featuring crossed Khukris while the Gorkha Collection adds a matching apparel range.

The Continental GT 650 also received an update by gaining a black-painted instrument cowl, LED turn signals and a USB Type-C fast-charging port. The Rocker Red variant further gets a black finish for the engine, exhaust and cast alloy wheels. Royal Enfield’s electric motorcycle programme also recorded a notable development during the month. The company said the Flying Flea C6 has crossed 50,000 customer-driven kilometres in Bengaluru.

The figure comes as Royal Enfield develops Flying Flea as its dedicated electric mobility brand and prepares to add electric motorcycles to its product portfolio. The C6 provides an early indication of the riding data being accumulated ahead of the brand’s electric expansion. HunterHood made its debut in Kochi after previous editions in Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Shillong and Lucknow combining music, art, fashion and street sports last month.

GRRR Nights × Underground held its biggest edition so far in Mumbai featuring custom motorcycles, supercars, live MMA and a performance by Seedhe Maut. The Guerrilla 450 also featured at the event through a showcase at the Maut Ka Kuan. Royal Enfield has announced the sixth season of its Art of Motorcycling initiative under the theme ‘Game Mode On’. Artists across 13 regions can reinterpret motorcycling through the lens of retro gaming while entries are divided into the Adults Edition, open globally, and the Kids Edition open only in India with registrations closing on October 21.

The company is also preparing for the One Ride event in September which will bring Royal Enfield riders and riding communities together across markets. On the global scene, Royal Enfield launched the Goan Classic 350, Guerrilla 450 Apex and Himalayan Mana Black in Brazil and showcased the Flying Flea C6 at Festival Interlagos. The Classic 650 125th Edition and new Meteor 350 colours featured at Brasília Capital Moto Week while the brand returned to Malaysia’s Art of Speed with the Obsidian and Carolina Reaper custom motorcycles.
