Royal Enfield has extended the availability of its Flying Flea C6 electric motorcycle to Chennai where 14 new sales and service touchpoints are planned. The city becomes the fourth Indian market for Flying Flea following Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune. The Chennai network will have two company operated stores and 12 partner outlets providing customers more locations to inspect the motorcycle, arrange test rides and access after-sales assistance.
The dedicated Flying Flea stores will operate at OMR and Adyar while the remaining outlets will function alongside existing Royal Enfield dealerships. The locations are situated in areas such as Anna Nagar, Tambaram, Pallikaranai, Avadi, Tondiarpet and Nandanam. Royal Enfield has also identified 11 service centres in Chennai for routine maintenance and technical assistance. These centres will support the C6 as retail operations commence in the city.
The brand already has 12 sales and service locations in Bengaluru, four in Hyderabad, and 10 in Pune. Chennai’s 14 new touchpoints will increase the planned network to 40 locations nationwide. Pune received its 10-centre network in late October, shortly before the Chennai announcement. The combination of dedicated showrooms and established Royal Enfield dealerships provides Flying Flea a retail presence in different parts of each city.
The Flying Flea C6 costs Rs. 2.79 lakh while the Battery-as-a-Service option reduces the initial motorcycle price to Rs. 1.99 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). The latter arrangement separates the battery cost from the initial vehicle purchase and requires a subscription payment. The upfront difference stands at Rs. 80,000 but the subscription charges must also be considered when comparing ownership costs. The motorcycle is available in Storm Black, Flea Green, and Parachute White.
The C6 has a distinctive design inspired by the lightweight Royal Enfield Flying Flea motorcycles of the 1940s. A circular LED headlamp, slim upper bodywork, exposed forged-aluminium frame, and aluminium girder front fork distinguish it from other electric motorcycles. The compact battery assembly sits inside a magnesium enclosure beneath the tank-like upper section. The narrow rear bodywork, exposed structural components and lightweight styling also separate the C6 visually from the traditional Royal Enfield motorcycles.
The electric motorcycle uses a 3.91 kWh battery and a permanent-magnet synchronous motor producing around 20.7 hp and 60 Nm of torque. Royal Enfield claims a maximum speed of 115 kmph and a riding range of 154 km under the Indian Driving Cycle. The electronics comprise five riding modes, traction control and lean-sensitive ABS. The C6 also has connected functions, smartphone integration and configurable electronic responses.
Flying Flea is preparing a second electric motorcycle, the S6 scrambler, for a summer 2027 launch. Revealed at EICMA 2026, the S6 uses wire-spoke wheels, block-pattern tyres, an enduro-style seat, and a dedicated off-road riding mode. The scrambler shares its underlying architecture with the road-biased C6 but has different equipment for recreational trail riding.
