For the first time-ever, Royal Enfield has sold 1 lakh+ units in the Indian market in a month

Royal Enfield has surpassed the historic milestone of 1 lakh unit monthly sales in October 2024 in the Indian market. The home-grown bike maker sold a total of 1,10,574 motorcycles last month which comprised 1,01,886 units in the domestic market while 8,688 units were exported during this period. Royal Enfield registered a growth of 31 percent in October 2024 sales as compared to the same period last year. The brand had achieved a cumulative sales of 84,435 units in October 2023.

Speaking about the performance for the month of October 2024, B Govindarajan, CEO, Royal Enfield said, “The month of October has been truly remarkable for Royal Enfield, we have broken records with a whopping 1,00,000+ sales in a single month! This is our biggest and milestone festive season sale and surpasses all our previous sales performance records.”

Royal Enfield, increasing its footprint in the SAARC region, had stepped into the Bangladeshi market last month. It inaugurated a flagship showroom and production facility in Cumilla District, Bangladesh. The newly-built Category 2 factory has an annual capacity of 30,000 units while operated in collaboration with IFAD Motors. Royal Enfield would assemble four models in the new facility in Bangladesh namely Hunter 350, Meteor 350, Classic 350, and Bullet 350. They would be specifically tailored for the Bangladeshi customers.

“Last month we announced our debut in Bangladesh market and the response from the riding community has been incredible. All our new and existing motorcycles have continued to perform well and we are confident that with our upcoming launches we will be able to sustain this growth momentum,” added B Govindarajan.

The brand also took the wraps off the all-new Bear 650 a couple of days back, which happens to be its fifth motorcycle in the 650cc segment after the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. Projected as a purpose-driven scrambler, it is based on the same chassis as the Interceptor 650 with the same engine. In order to maintain its individuality, Royal Enfield Bear 650 gets upgraded suspension and wheels. The pricing will be announced on Nov 5 at EICMA in Italy.
