The all-new Audi Q3 has entered local production in India ahead of its launch on October 16, 2026. The compact luxury SUV has begun rolling out of the Skoda Auto Volkswagen India facility at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra. The production start comes after Audi opened bookings on September 1 at Rs. 1 lakh through its official website, myAudi Connect application and authorised dealerships.
The India-spec Q3 will receive a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine rated at around 204 hp and 320 Nm. The engine sends power through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to the Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The global range also offers petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid choices. Overseas models can also be specified with standard, sport or two-valve damper suspension setups based on the variant.
The exterior takes a noticeably different approach from the outgoing Q3 as a larger Singleframe grille dominates the front. The slimmer headlamps sit higher on the fascia and sharper contours run across the bonnet and shoulder sections. The Matrix LED headlamps employ micro-LED modules and each daytime running light incorporates 23 individual segments. The rear gets a full-width lighting element and top-end versions can be specified with digital OLED tail lamps plus illuminated Audi rings.

The cabin receives an equally extensive overhaul as Audi moves the gear selector from the centre console to the steering column. The revised arrangement frees additional storage between the front seats and a separate stalk controls the lighting and wipers. The dashboard adopts Audi’s latest digital interface and acoustic glass for the front windows is designed to reduce outside noise. The rear bench can slide fore and aft and passengers can also alter the backrest angle.
The flexible rear seat layout also changes the Q3’s luggage capacity. The boot offers 488 litres in its standard configuration and expands to 1,386 litres once the second row is folded. The sliding bench lets occupants prioritise rear legroom or cargo volume according to the journey. The Q3 can also tow up to 2,100 kg based on the selected variant.
The assistance systems gain several new functions as Audi updates the Q3’s electronics. The interior camera can monitor the driver for fatigue and distraction, and adaptive cruise control as well as lane assistance systems receive extra functions. The parking system can store complex maneuvers and reproduce them later which should prove useful in narrow garages or frequently visited parking spaces.
