The Brazilian-spec 2027 Honda City gets Prelude-inspired styling, full LED headlights, a new RS hatchback and a 10-inch touchscreen

The 2027 Honda City has been revealed in Brazil with updated styling, added features and a new RS version for the hatchback. The sedan is offered in LX, EX, EXL and Touring trims and the hatchback adds a range-topping RS above Touring. The commercial launch begins in early November 2026 with pre-sales already open today for 3,000 cars split equally between the two body styles.

The biggest visual change comes at the front where the new City takes inspiration from the Honda Prelude. The redesigned grille is positioned alongside a flatter Honda badge, revised bumper treatment and new lighting elements. The full LED headlights are standard across all variants, and Touring and RS add an LED strip between the lamp areas. The sedan also gets a revised lower rear bumper and the RS hatch receives its own rear treatment.

The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder flex-fuel engine carries over with direct injection and kicks out 126 hp at 6,200 rpm. The torque output stands at 15.8 kgfm (155 Nm) with ethanol and 15.5 kgfm (152 Nm) with petrol at 4,600 rpm. The CVT automatic transmission gets seven simulated ratios and drive goes to the front wheels. The 0 to 100 kmph acceleration time is claimed to be around 10.6 seconds.

Version Hatchback Sedan
LX R$ 117,700 (Rs. 21.75 lakh) R$ 117,700 (Rs. 21.75 lakh)

The new RS sits at the top of the hatchback line and relies on cosmetic and equipment changes instead of extra engine output. The exterior gets a black roof, black mirrors, a black shark-fin antenna, darkened 16-inch alloy wheels, RS badges and a sport exhaust finisher. The cabin adds aluminium pedals, a black headliner, red stitching, dark trim and dedicated instrument graphics.
