
Mercedes-Benz India has announced that its sales have reached 5,422 units in Q3 2026 – the company’s highest quarterly volume in the country. The July to September result rose 6 per cent from 5,119 units in Q3 2025 and increased 17 per cent over Q2 2026. The January to September sales also set a new record at 15,190 units – up around 8 per cent from 14,132 units in the same period last year.
The top-end luxury range accounted for more than 25 per cent of sales during the first nine months and grew 13 per cent on a YoY basis. The portfolio comprises the S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach models, GLS, G-Class, V-Class and AMG models. It is worth noting that the AMG range separately posted an 18 per cent increase from January to September 2026.
The main luxury fleet accounted for around 60 per cent of Mercedes-Benz India sales between January and September. The C-Class, long-wheelbase E-Class, GLC and GLE drove volumes in this category and the E-Class retained its position as India’s best-selling luxury car. The entry luxury space accounted for around 15 per cent of sales and grew 4 per cent courtesy of the GLA and CLA BEV.

The electric portfolio grew 16 per cent YoY during the first nine months as the CLA BEV crossed 1,000 confirmed orders. The deliveries now extend to March 2027 and some customers face waits of up to six months. The EQS SUV, Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV and G580 also contributed to electric sales during the period to consolidate numbers.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV grew 68 per cent on a YoY basis from January to September and the AMG G 63 recorded its highest monthly sales. The Manufaktur programme accounted for around 75 per cent of all top-end luxury sales during the same period. The figure shows how heavily personalised specifications feature among consumers in the upper end of the Mercedes-Benz range.
The electrified S-Class will reach customers from mid-October and the top-spec Manufaktur Edition has already been sold out for the year. The new GLC BEV will make its India debut on November 4, 2026 as well. The CLA BEV’s order bank of above 1,000 units also gives Mercedes-Benz another electric model with deliveries already extending into next year.
