Hero Xpulse 150 gets a 150 cc air/oil-cooled engine pushing out 12.2 bhp; boasts 19/17-inch wheels and 220 mm of ground clearance

Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the Xpulse 150 at the ongoing EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. The debut comes alongside the far more powerful Xpulse 450 creating two very different choices at opposite ends of the Xpulse family while a scrambler concept has also been shown. The 150 uses straightforward mechanicals and a relatively low kerb weight for riders seeking a smaller adventure motorcycle and it appears to be the Impulse’s spiritual successor.

The Hero Xpulse 150 weighs 141.5 kg and offers 220 mm of ground clearance. The combination gives the motorcycle useful clearance over broken roads and trails without the additional mass associated with larger adventure bikes. Seat height stands at 826 mm and the fuel tank holds 10.6 litres. The new 150 cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine kicks out 12.2 bhp and 12.8 Nm.

A five-speed gearbox sends power to the rear wheel. Hero has chosen relatively modest performance figures for the smaller Xpulse placing greater emphasis on low mass, ground clearance and adventure touring capability.

The Xpulse 450 provides an interesting contrast at the same EICMA show. Its 421 cc engine produces 46 hp and it uses fully adjustable KYB suspension and a 225 mm of front travel. The Xpulse 150 takes a far less complex route through a smaller engine, lower output and lighter construction and we expect it to be priced affordably as well below the liquid-cooled Xpulse 210.

The visual treatment still makes the 150 immediately recognisable as an Xpulse. A tall front mudguard, windscreen, upright handlebar and slim bodywork establish the adv profile. The motorcycle also gets a digital instrument console, single-piece seat and rear luggage rack. Its narrow proportions suit the smaller engine and lightweight chassis.

It uses a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup. The front wheel provides the larger diameter expected on a trail capable motorcycle and the 220 mm ground clearance supports travel across uneven surfaces. The 826 mm seat height is another notable figure mainly when the Xpulse 150 is viewed as a smaller alternative within Hero’s adventure motorcycle range.

The Xpulse 150 sits below the Xpulse 200 and Xpulse 210 models on engine capacity. It could appeal to a whole new set of audience who want to own an affordable adventure touring machine with authentic adv looks.
