Hero MotoCorp has launched the Glamour X 125 with Integrated ABS in India at an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs 1.01 lakh. The new variant becomes the first motorcycle in the 125cc segment to combine single-channel ABS with an Integrated Braking System (IBS), giving the Glamour X another significant safety upgrade.
The biggest change is, of course, the braking system. Hero says the integrated ABS technology is designed to deliver sharper and more responsive braking while improving stability and reducing braking distances. It joins the existing safety features on the Glamour X, including Panic Brake Alert, which flashes the LED indicators during hard braking, and hazard lamps for emergency situations.
There are no major visual changes to the motorcycle, which continues with the muscular styling introduced with the Glamour X. The bike gets a sculpted body, sharp lines, sporty graphics and Hero’s signature ‘H’ Full LED Lighting Package. The new ABS-equipped version is available in two new colours namely, Gun Metal Grey and Matt Axis Grey alongside the existing Black Pearl Red and Black Teal Blue.

The Glamour X continues to be one of the more technology-heavy motorcycles in the 125 cc commuter segment. It gets a 10.7 cm adaptive multi-colour console with ambient lighting and more than 60 functions, including a gear-shift advisory, distance-to-empty display and real-time mileage indicator. Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation with ETA, and call and SMS alerts are also part of the package.
The motorcycle is powered by Hero’s Sprint-EBT 125 cc engine, which produces 11.4 bhp at 8,250 rpm. The engine has been engineered for smooth power delivery and low NVH, while riders can choose between Eco, Road and Power riding modes. Cruise control is another unusual feature for a motorcycle in this segment and is intended to reduce fatigue on longer rides.

The focus on everyday usability hasn’t been overlooked either. Hero has equipped the Glamour X with a wide handlebar, a long and flat seat and a low seat height. There is also dual under-seat mobile storage and a Type-C USB charging port, making the motorcycle more practical for daily commuting.
At Rs 1.01 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, the Glamour X with integrated ABS commands a premium over the existing Glamour X range, but the additional safety technology gives Hero a strong talking point in the highly competitive 125 cc segment. The motorcycle’s combination of ABS, ride modes, cruise control, connected features and a digital console makes it considerably more feature-loaded than the average commuter.
For Hero, however, the more important part of this update is the democratisation of ABS technology. The 125cc segment is one of India’s largest motorcycle categories, and bringing a feature that was traditionally associated with larger and more expensive motorcycles into this space could push competitors to respond.
