Harley-Davidson has revealed the X350T at EICMA 2026 at a time when India’s revised GST structure has changed the economics of midsize capacity motorcycles. Bikes up to and including 350 cc attract 18 per cent GST compared to 40 per cent for motorcycles above the 350 cc threshold. The X350T sits exactly inside the lower slab and has been developed primarily for the Indian market.
The tax revision has already prompted rival manufacturers to rethink engine displacement for India. Bajaj Auto now sells smaller 350 cc derivatives of KTM and Triumph motorcycles after the GST change. The reduced capacity motor lets those motorcycles qualify for the 18 per cent slab instead of the 40 per cent rate applied above 350 cc and thus their asking price will be competitive.
The X350T takes visual cues from flat-track motorcycles and follows the styling theme already seen on the X440T. Chequered graphics distinguish the new model while the chassis uses a trellis frame and USD front suspension. The electronics specification consists of an electronic throttle body, selectable riding modes, switchable ABS and traction control. Harley-Davidson says the chassis calibration targets low speed agility, highway stability and ride comfort.
Harley-Davidson describes torque output as class-leading but an exact figure has not been disclosed. The electronic throttle system also supports the riding modes and traction control functions. The X350T has also been calibrated around Indian road conditions and complies with BS6 OBD2P2 requirements. The USD front suspension and trellis chassis are intended to balance manoeuvrability in slower traffic against stability at highway speeds.
The American manufacturer also used EICMA 2026 to debut the Sprint 440 – another motorcycle developed through its partnership with Hero MotoCorp. The Sprint uses the familiar 440 cc single-cylinder engine rated at 27 hp and 38 Nm. Harley-Davidson has confirmed the launch in the United States in spring 2027 while an introduction in India will happen in the coming months.
The X350T will sit alongside the X440T and single-cylinder X440S in Harley-Davidson’s small capacity portfolio for India. The 350 cc displacement also arrives as the domestic motorcycle industry adapts rapidly to the GST divide between the 18 per cent and 40 per cent slabs. The model consequently puts Harley-Davidson into the same displacement bracket that Triumph, KTM and other manufacturers are now targeting after the tax revision.
