The Bayon N Line gets exclusive 18-inch alloys and twin exhaust outlets as Hyundai confirms a 136 hp hybrid for Europe in 2027

Hyundai Motor has unveiled the all-new Bayon for Europe and its N Line derivative which receives distinctive exterior details and 18-inch alloy wheels. The European SUV initially offers two 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine options. A 1.6-litre hybrid will join the range in 2027. Hyundai will manufacture the new Bayon at its Türkiye plant.

The 1.0-litre T-GDI petrol engine develops either 89 hp or 113 hp. Both versions offer a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and drive goes to the front wheels. Hyundai lists provisional top speeds of up to 180 kmph for the petrol models. The 0 to 100 kmph acceleration figures range as low as 10.8 seconds.

The upcoming hybrid will utilise a 1.6-litre GDI petrol engine and an electric motor through a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The combined output is rated at 136 hp. The hybrid also introduces adaptive regenerative braking system and steering wheel paddles control the degree of energy recovery. Hyundai quotes preliminary WLTP CO2 emissions of 102 to 113 g per km.
