Bajaj Auto’s flagship Dominar 400 has been through rocky roads since its debut in the market back in December 2016. The naked sports tourer is a highly capable machine with a mix of plenty of characters. Due to its touring nature, it does weigh a bit more than usual for a naked bike and does not have a refined engine. But when you get accustomed to it, you will forgive the niggles for what it is can actually do.
It is not a hardcore adventure seeker as the Himalayan. However, it blends good cornering capability with the endurance of a sports tourer and more importantly packs all the goodies at an appreciable price range. On paper, the equipment level and performance Dominar 400 offer is certainly unrivalled for what it costs. The popularity of Royal Enfield Classic 350 is so much that the Dominar is taking a beating in sales number as only 2,000 units are sold monthly.
