The all-new version of the Ertiga has finally broken covers at the IIMS (Indonesia International Motor Show) and as we have been reporting for the last few days, it comes with a refreshed appearance and is based on a lighter platform.
In comparison to the outgoing MPV, the new Ertiga is 99 mm longer, 40 mm wider and 5 mm taller while having the same wheelbase of 2,740 mm. Based on the HEARTECT architecture, the increased proportions will avail additional room for the occupants but surprisingly the bootspace has reduced by 32 litres with 5 mm lesser ground clearance at 180 mm.

It rides on 15-inch alloy wheels and contradicting the previous reports is the layout of the interior as it is brand new and does not resemble much of the latest generation Swift twins.

In Indonesia, it derives power from a new 1.5-litre VVT four-pot petrol engine replacing the old 1.4-litre unit. The more powerful engine is good enough to generate a maximum output of 105 PS at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of peak torque delivered at 4,400 rpm. It can be had with standard five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
