Ironic Engineering has the Yamaha RX100 customised into a café racer; looks unique with engine fairing and custom body parts

Yamaha RX100 was a classic motorcycle launched during mid 80’s in India by the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer. This widely popular model alongside the RX135 has earned status of a vintage machine. The rider’s delight is no more in business, but here is one of them, which has received a unique modification and become a café racer.

The RX100 has been customised into a distinctive looking classic café racer by the Ironic Engineering. It comes bearing the old-school charm along with the custom body parts from nose to toe. It looks unique with a new custom front fascia. It gets a LED projector headlamp with a metal visor giving the front fascia a covered appearance, while the custom instrument cluster, new fuel tank enhance the charm further.

The seat and the rear of the motorcycle look sleek and there is a LED taillight as well. The low slung clip on handlebar gives the customised motorcycle a sporty feel. An engine fairing, raised ground clearance, new exhaust muzzle and blackened multi-spoke wheels wrapped in chunky dual-purpose tyres make it a truly eye-catching machine.

The original Yamaha RX100 was a two-stroke motorcycle powered by a 98 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine mated to a 4-speed constant mesh transmission. The stock engine is capable of churning out 11 hp of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 10.39 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm.

Speaking about the Yamaha RX100’s performance further, the motorcycle is capable to run at a top speed between 100 kmph and 120 kmph. It delivers fuel efficiency between 30 kmpl and 35 kmpl. The stock motorcycle was suspended on telescopic front forks and 5-step adjustable swing arm rear suspension. For braking duty, it relies on drum brakes on both front and rear wheels.
