A coupe based on the Kodiaq SUV has been making headlines for quite some time and now it appears that Skoda is going to christen it as Kodiaq GT. Upon arrival, this is going to be the flagship model from the Volkswagen owned Czech auto major. While the automaker has already garnered pretty much interest involving this car, it will be available in Chinese market only.
However, it could be introduced to European and other Western markets at later stage. But, Skoda is tight lipped about the move. The Kodiaq GT will be underpinned by Volkswagen’s MQB architecture. In terms of design, it will come heavily inspired by the Kodiaq SUV that is available in Indian market and this new coupe SUV is expected to become an affordable alternative of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe and BMW X4.
