Royal Enfield has officially launched a new colour for the entry-level Himalayan adventure tourer after teasing it on Twitter a few days back. Priced at Rs. 2,12,666 (on-road price, Chennai), the Indian manufacturer has limited its availability to only 500 units. It can be booked online for an initial fee of Rs. 5,000 and if you want to own one, you have to register online.
The registration starts today and it will open till January 30 with the sale going live on the same date based on the first-come first-get basis. So, what does Sleet refer to and is it any special? It is a thin coating of ice formed by sleet or rain freezing on coming into contact with a cold surface. The name fits the new outlook of the Himalayan rather perfectly with the snow camouflaged body colour.
