Electric vehicle is going to be the future and most of the manufacturers are developing EVs which will eventually reach market from next year onwards. Volkswagen showcased the I.D Concept at the 2016 Paris Motor Show and the first EV from the German manufacturer will be based on I.D Concept which is expected to hit market by 2020.
The I.D Concept is a sleek looking 5 door hatchback in a size of Volkswagen Golf. The design of I.D Concept is futuristic and attracted lots of people at the Motor Show. Klaus Bischoff, design head at Volkswagen said that the production version of I.D Concept will look similar to the concept model as they have carried over most of the design elements to production model.

The concept had smart looking LED headlight which blinks when the car start ups and the design boss confirmed that it will make to production model also. The lower part of the bumper had pupil like centre section which will move right or left side depending on the steering movement and this will also make it to production model.

Volkswagen mounted the batteries on rear axle which will liberate more interior space. The I.D Concept can reach 100 kph from stand still in 8 sec and top speed is 159 kph. The I.D concept has a range between 40 and 600 km. The production of I.D Concept production version will begin next year and we can expect an official reveal later next year.
