Audi is gearing up to launch the next generation A6 luxury sedan in a few days and ahead of its commercial debut, the automaker has released its official pictures. The car is confirmed to debut at 2018 Geneva Motor Show and it will likely arrive in the Indian market sometime later this year or in early 2019.
Back in December, Audi released a video inviting young minds and filmmakers to present their vision on the new A6. They were asked to focus on the three core characteristics of the sedan: digitalization, performance and comfort. It goes on to show that Audi was committed in making the new A6 sedan more advanced than its predecessor.

The exterior comprises of wide singleframe grille is shrouded by large air intakes, sharper headlamps including top-spec HD Matrix LED lamps with daytime running lights, sportier body panels, distinctive character lines, integrated boot spoiler, optional LED tail lamps, etc.
Audi claims the sedan has a drag coefficient of just 0.24. It measures 4,939 mm long, 1,886 mm wide and 1,457 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,924 mm. Due to bigger dimensions, the all-new A6 has more rear legroom, head and shoulder room.

The new A6 will have two different engines: a turbocharged 3.0-litre TFSI V6 and a 3.0-litre TDI V6 diesel. The former develops 340 PS and 500 Nm, and is connected to a seven-speed S tronic transmission with standard all-wheel drive system. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 5.1 seconds and do 250 kmph top speed.
Claimed to be sportier than the old model, it has improved suspension and a progressive steering system. Customers can choose optional sport differential and a sport suspension as well. The safety technologies involved include the Park assist package with parking pilot and garage pilot functions. The City assist package has crossing assist and the Tour assist package comes with adaptive cruise assist.
