The Japanese automaker, Mitsubishi, has just released a set of official images of its upcoming special edition Triton. The new Triton Athlete pickup is ready to debut on 30th November at the 2017 Thai Motor Show with exterior and interior enhancements over the regular model.
Up front, there are sharp headlamps with HID projector units and integrated inverted L shaped LED daytime running lights. The aggressive vertically slated front grille has the brand logo at centre. Apart from that, there are sharp and long flowing LED turn indicators at both ends.

At the back too, this upcoming pickup truck is expected to receive muscular and blackened bumper, LED taillights. Not only exterior, inside the cabin too, Mitsubishi Triton Athlete has received several upmarket features. It includes Athlete lettering on the floor mats and seat back, black and orange seat upholstery, orange stitching on the multi-functional steering wheel, centre console, etc.

On the powertrain front, the upcoming Mitsubishi Triton Athlete pickup truck will use the same 2.4L engine as the regular model. The standard engine options include a 2.4-litre petrol engine, a 2.4-litre diesel engine and a 2.5-litre diesel motor as well. The petrol engine is capable of churning out 128 PS of peak power and 194 Nm of peak torque. The smaller diesel engine generates 181 PS of peak power and 430 Nm of peak torque, while the slightly larger motor kicks out 178 PS and 400 Nm.
