According to a media report, Kawasaki will be introducing the exhilarating Ninja ZX-10R as a SKD (Semi Knocked Down) kit from Japan. It will be locally assembled at the Chakan facility near Pune and resultantly its ex-showroom price will go down by a substantial margin.
It will drastically bring the price of the ZX-10R to under Rs. 14 lakh (ex-showroom). Currently, the motorcycle costs Rs. 18.8 lakh (ex-showroom) and the price decrease means it will be the least expensive litre-class on sale in the domestic market.

The Japanese manufacturer is offering dealer level discounts lately for its high capacity bikes. The Kawasaki ZX-10R competes against the likes of Honda CBR 1000RR, Yamaha YZF-R1, BMW S 1000RR and Suzuki GSX-R1000. The move to locally assembly the faired motorcycle could come as a result of recent affinity for buyers towards premium motorcycles.
he braking duties on the new Ninja ZX-10RR are dealt by twin 330 mm disc brakes at the front along with a single 220 mm disc brake at the rear. ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) comes as standard while 43 mm inverted forks along with gas charged monoshock at the rear are part of the suspension system. The motorcycle has a kerb weight of 206 kg and 17-litre fuel tank.
