The Hero Super Splendor Xtec is priced at Rs. 83,368 (ex-showroom) for the base drum variant and in comparison to the regular model, it is around Rs. 4,500 dearer. The front disc variant is priced at Rs. 87,268 (ex-showroom). It takes on Honda Shine and TVS’ Raider and is available in two paint schemes namely Candy Blazing Red and Matt Axis Grey.
The overall silhouette of the Super Splendor Xtec remains similar to the standard model but the inclusion of a new LED headlamp gives a refreshed look and between the headlamp, an LED Daytime Running Light is also present. Other highlights are halogen turn signals, a single-piece seat and grab rail, revised body graphics and so on.
The equipment list of the new Super Splendor Xtec gains an all-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity enabling SMS and call alerts. The console shows information like fuel level, mileage, trip, speed, rpm, etc. The largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world has also included USB charging facility as standard.
As for the performance, the familiar 124.7 cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine is utilised and it has been updated to meet OBD 2 emission regulations. The powertrain is good enough to develop a maximum power output of 10.7 bhp and 10.6 Nm of peak torque and is paired with a five-speed transmission.
The 2023 Hero Super Splendor Xtec sits on a diamond frame and is suspended on telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The commuter motorcycle comes with 18-inch front and rear tyres and the braking duties are done by a front disc brake and a rear drum with CBS.
