Toyota Corolla Sport made its global debut in March, 2017 in New York. The Corolla is in its 12th generation and it is the best selling model in the world. The new Corolla is based on TNGA platform of Toyota, which is used by most of the new generation products of Japanese manufacturer. The company has finally launched the Corolla Sport in its home market.
One of the major changes for Japanese model is that the Toyota logo has been replaced by a new one which has ‘C’ for Corolla and three corollas as its motif. The aggressive new sweeping headlamps with projector and DRLs extend to the grille along with a sporty bumper with large air-dam which is finished in black gives a sporty look for Corolla Sport.

The interior continues the sporty theme from exterior as the Japanese manufacturer has given three spoke multi-function steering wheel. The dashboard has a flowing theme with new 7 inch touch screen infotainment system in the middle which misses out Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Corolla Sport comes with new bucket seats with enhanced side bolsters for extra support.

These engines are mated to new 10 speed CVT gearbox and in August, Toyota will introduce a manual gearbox option for turbocharged petrol engine. The Corolla Sport petrol model comes with all wheel drive system and the company offers multiple drive modes. Toyota offer new 8 colour options for Corolla Sport and sales will begin next month.
