Porsche showcased what the new generation Cayenne was all about at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in September before going on sale in Germany and subsequently Europe. The revised styling is rather evolutionary as the front portion features new LED headlamps and bigger air intakes. The German manufacturer says the Cayenne has lowered roofline for more athletic stance while the new set of alloy wheels and revised taillights, as in the Panamera Sport Turismo, enhances the appeal further.
The interior has seen several modifications such as inclusion of a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with internet connectivity, redesigned centre console with analogue and digital controls, new instrument cluster with analogue tachometer, three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, dual seven-inch displays, Bose and Burmester audio and so on.
A brand new eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission is provided as standard across the range. The Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid, on the other hand, comes equipped with the same 3.0-litre engine with increased power output. The electric system generates over 43 percent more power at 136 hp, resulting in the combined output higher than the previous version at 462 hp.
