The commuter motorcycles occupy the majority of Indian two-wheeler market and Hero MotoCorp is undeniably the leader in that segment with models like Splendor and Passion. But in recent past, Indian customers have been leaning towards sportier and premium products, instead of basic commuter motorcycles. Being such a major player in domestic market, Hero MotoCorp cannot ignore the trend and it is finally coming up with more attractive and premium models rather than just basic commuters.
At 2016 New Delhi Auto Expo, Hero MotoCorp showcased Xtreme 200S and its production version was introduced just before showcasing at the 2018 Auto Expo.
