BMW officially launched X3 petrol variant in India at Rs. 56.90 Lakh (Ex-Showroom). The new generation X3 made its India debut at the 2018 Auto Expo and the launch took place in April with diesel engine. The X3 petrol variant is available only in luxury trim and it is priced Rs. 20,000 more than the luxury diesel variant.
BMW commenced bookings for X3 petrol across its dealerships in India and the petrol model is also assembled at BMW’s Chennai plant. The X3 Petrol model is powered by 2.0 L twin turbo charged engine producing 252 hp of power at 5,200 rpm and 350 Nm of torque between 1,450 rpm – 4,850 rpm.

The luxury variant of X3 increases the premium appeal with added chrome on the grille bars which can be opened or closed depending on the engine temperature. The design of X3 petrol model is exactly similar to the diesel and the only change is the variant name. But the German manufacturer is yet to introduce sporty M Sport variant on X3.

The X3 doesn’t compromise on safety also as the company has given airbags at front and side, cornering brake control, dynamic stability control and more. BMW X3 diesel model is powered by 2.0 L unit producing 190 hp of power and 400 Nm of torque. This engine is also mated to 8 speed automatic gearbox. BMW X3 xDrive 20d Expedition entry level diesel model is priced at Rs. 49.90 lakh and luxury variant at Rs. 56.70 lakh (Both Ex-Showroom, Prices).
