The custom RE Interceptor 650 café racer was built to be showcased at different motor show and tours across the globe

We have already reported about some of the finest custom Royal Enfield motorcycles from around the globe in some of our earlier posts already. In those posts, we have also mentioned that the RE motorcycles are the easiest platforms for custom bike builders to work on. Recently a Bangkok based custom motorcycle builder Zeus custom has transformed a stock Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 into one classy looking café racer.

Zeus has called their creation ‘The Prime Project’ and also quite clearly mentioned that their design focuses on luxury. The best part of this whole project is the fact that Zeus customs finished the entire project in just 45 days. The custom motorcycle is currently showcased at the ongoing Bangkok International Motor Show 2019.

Now talking about the changes the first thing that you will notice is that the custom motorcycle features a redesigned fuel tank. The fuel tank gets a simple and sleek appearing curve. Zeus custom chooses a black tone with contrasting golden bronze lines which starts from the fuel tank and ends towards the rear profile of the motorcycle.

The logo on the tank has also been finished in silver colour to match with the golden bronze trim line. The custom black leather seats have been re-designed to look slim and are made out of 2 layers of black leather. Zeus customs have also cut the front spring of the suspension setup to lower the ride height of the motorcycle.

They have also used a stainless steel grip to add more class to the motorcycle. To complete the look the standard switchgear is also replaced with a set of aluminium switches. The turn signals are positioned on the handlebar ends to add a clean look to the motorcycle. The headlamp too is an aftermarket unit and slightly smaller than the original unit.

Another important change that the motorcycle has received comes in the form of a custom-made exhaust. The custom bike builder has repositioned the dual exhaust pipes placement and also gave it a brushed aluminium finish and added a brass plate at the tip of the exhaust to add a classy touch.RE-Interceptor-modified-Zeus-Customs-16

Zeus customs have not made any changes to the powertrain and thus the custom Interceptor 650 is still powered by the same 648cc, parallel twin unit that produces about 47 bhp of peak power and 52 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and gets a slipper clutch as standard.
