Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 gets good discount in September with Rs. 25,000 cash and Rs. 30,000 exchange bonus
Maruti Alto is one of the best selling cars in the country and the company is offering benefits of up to Rs. 60,100 this month. The Alto 800 cc comes with Rs. 25,000 as cash discount, Rs. 30,000 as exchange bonus and Rs. 5,100 as a corporate discount. The effective on-road price of base variant of the Alto 800 stands at Rs 2.24 lakh only, which includes an exchange bonus worth Rs 30,000.
The Alto K10 is also available with these offers, but the cash discount is limited to Rs. 22,000 only, which is Rs 3,000 lesser than the Alto 800. With a cash discount of Rs 57,000, the Alto K10 LXI now has an effective ex-showroom price of Rs 2.74 lakh and an on-road price of Rs 3.11 lakh only.
The Alto 800 is the entry-level model of Maruti in India and it is powered by 0.8 L three-cylinder petrol engine producing 47.32 hp of power at 6,000 rpm and 69 NM of torque at 3,500 rpm. Maruti is also offering Alto 800 with CNG option also, but the engine output reduced to 40.35 hp at 6,000 rpm and 60 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.
This engine is mated to 5-speed manual transmission and the company has tuned this engine for efficiency as it returns 24.7 kmpl (petrol) and 33.34 km/kg (CNG). The Alto 800 received an update couple of years ago as the hatchback gets a new front bumper along with new grille and headlamp cluster.
The side design continues to be same and rear gets new bumper along with minor tweaks for the tail lamp. The Alto 800 facelift model is slightly longer because of changes to bumper. The interior also gets minor updates like new upholstery for door pad and seats along with additional storage at back.
The top end variant of Alto comes with integrated music system, manual climate control, child lock, wheel cover, front power windows, passenger side rear view mirror and central locking. Maruti is also offering drive side airbag with Alto and we are expecting new generation model to arrive soon.
The Alto K10 is powered by 1.0 L three-cylinder petrol engine producing 68 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. The CNG model of Alto K10 produces only 59 PS and 78 Nm. The Alto K10 returns 24.07 kmpl (petrol) and 32.26 km/kg (CNG).
